Yes, the best console versions of multiplatform games tended to be on Xbox but often the differences to other versions were marginal at most or often an even better PC version existed. So add in the difficulties that come with emulating it properly and I just think not a lot of people wanted to put the work in for seemingly little return. The lack of interest in making an emulator isn’t because people didn’t like the Xbox (obviously it was a very popular system) but because it wasn’t really the exclusive home of the best version of pretty much any game released for it. If more people had been banging there heads against this I think this nut would’ve been cracked sooner. Click to shrink.Difficulty in emulating was a factor for sure (I think the Nvidia connection plays a part in that?) but I think it was more that there wasn’t a ton of interest in emulating the system.
